What should I expect from a session with you?

Expect a relaxed, fun experience where your family can simply be yourselves.

No pressure, no stiff poses—I won’t ask your kids to sit still or smile on command. If they want to be silly, that’s perfect—and you’re more than welcome to be silly right along with them!

Rather than lots of posing, I’ll gently guide you into natural positions and help you find the best light so we can capture real, authentic moments. My goal is to make the session feel more like quality time with your loved ones than a photoshoot.

Where will we take the photos?

The options are wide open! I love working outdoors with natural light, but I’m equally comfortable in a studio setting or the cozy comfort of your home—especially for newborn sessions. We’ll work together to choose the location that feels right for your family and fits the vibe you’re going for. Whether it’s a field at golden hour, your living room, or somewhere special to you, I’m here to make it easy and enjoyable.

What should my family and I wear to the session?

Coordinated, not matching—that’s the goal! Start with a soft, neutral color palette (like cream, sage, dusty blue, or blush) and build outfits around 3–4 complementary tones. This helps your photos feel cohesive while letting each family member’s personality shine.

Mixing textures (think linen, denim, knits) adds visual depth without needing bold patterns. If someone wears a print, balance it with solids that echo the same hues.

Skip logos and loud colors—they tend to pull focus from your beautiful faces. Dress for the season and setting, and above all, make sure everyone feels comfortable. Comfortable people make for joyful, relaxed photos.

Is there a travel fee?

There’s no travel fee for sessions within a 30-mile radius of the Houston Heights area—this is all part of your session experience.

For locations between 30–60 miles away, a flat travel fee of $50 applies.

If you’re planning a session beyond 60 miles or at a destination, travel and lodging costs (if needed) would be covered by the client. That said, I’m always happy to work with you—package discounts or custom quotes may be available depending on the session. Just reach out, and we’ll make something beautiful (and practical) together!
